Many individuals are looking to increase their brain potential by enrolling in a higher education program in order to really build upon their knowledge. As a result of this need, more schools are offering online courses for their adult students who are looking to enroll in an education, but still have other commitments that are keeping them from going full-time.
Saint Joseph's College of Maine announced that it would be offering an adult education and training concentration as part of its online master of science in education curriculum. The focus will zero in on how adults learn rather than the traditional student, which is what the majority of education majors study. This will be a great option for people who are looking to teach adults in a higher degree program.
"Key adult learning concepts such as these are universally taught but rarely practiced in higher education," said Thomas Hancock, the program's director. "Not only is the new concentration practical, adaptable and relevant for the workplace, it adheres to adult learning theory."
